Gown Style Guide

Hourglass

You are... an Hourglass

Tall or short, hourglass bodies are defined by their typically curvy frame, with a naturally thin waist, a medium to large bust and defined hips.

If you are blessed with curves, and love them, why not opt for a fishtail gown that shows off your shape.

For those who would like to diminish their curves choose a dress with a tight bodice or clinched waist with an A-line skirt.

Apple

You are... an Apple

Apple shapes often have slim shapely legs and delicate shoulders with a larger bust, wider torso and a full waist. You have a curvy figure.

A tea length option is great to show off those killer legs, or perhaps a gown with a subtle slit. An A-line dress with a clinched-in waist can help create a more hourglass figure. An empire line can flatter your figure as it draws the eye upwards toward the bust.

Pear Shaped

You are... Pear Shaped

Pear shaped girls will often have a smaller bust along with a slimmer torso and waist. On the bottom half pear shaped girls have shapely hips and thighs and usually carry a little weight at the back.

A dress with detailing across the décolletage, or shaping in the bodice are great for showing off your slim shoulders and waist.

A-line or empire line are a great choice to slim over the hips and thighs.

Slim Athletic

You are... Slim Athletic

Small around the bottom and the bust, your typically toned frame may not have a lot of curve.

If you love showing off your figure a fishtail or straight gown can enhance and add curves.

A full skirt with beading around the bust, and a shapely bodice can create curves throughout the body.

Petite

You are... Petite

You tend to be a little shorter than most, with subtle curves and a small delicate body and average bust.

A simple straight gown can be very elegant or a tailored A-line dress can look amazing.

If you feel too swamped in a full length gown you can try a tea length dress.
